CMC Mission

The mission of the Congregational Methodist Church is as changeless as the heart of God, and that has never changed. God has always loved us. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) It is still the desire of God that all should come to salvation in Jesus Christ.

This verse in 2 Peter 3:9 shows that the purpose of God is immutable. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." Because of these treasured beginnings and the immutability of God, the Congregational Methodist Church is a 'message driven' organization that is dedicated to proclaiming and preserving the Gospel of Jesus Christ across continents, cultures and centuries.

What We Believe

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it alone contains the way of salvation. We accept the Bible as our authority in matters of faith and conduct and seek to live according to its teachings.

WE BELIEVE and teach the Deity of Jesus Christ, that He was God in Human flesh, that He atoned for our sins by His death on the cross, that He arose from the grave, that He intercedes with God for us now, and that He is coming again to earth as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

WE BELIEVE that all men live under the condemnation of sin and are lost until they come to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith and accept Him as their personal Saviour.

WE BELIEVE in a life of righteousness in this present world. This life is attained and maintained by a complete consecration on our part, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and continued obedience to the known will of God for our life. The outward evidence of this life is abounding love to God and man.

WE BELIEVE in the evangelistic and missionary task of the church at home and throughout the world and seek to advance Christ's cause in every way until He returns.
